John Edwards says that we need to stand up to the drug and insurance companies in order for there to be change in the health care system. But he does not say what we need to do to stand up to these companies. We at Saving Health Care pose this question to you...What can we do to stand up to these companies?

I am not sure if they can be stood up to. We have allowed these companies to get so much power and have so much say in how we get the care we need. What does Edwards have planned that will actually stop them? It seems to be like an empty promise.
Have you every investigated what Mitt Romney did in Mass by requiring all Health Care companies cover all citizens and making it easily available, cost effective, and subsidizing it on the state side rather than through the individual level? He made it more like car insurance and it allowed for better health care coverage. Some liked it, some didn't, but the over all effect was better coverage and cheaper coverage than before with the state being less burdened. 100% of the population won't be happy with a decision, but I never read in the constitution that universal health care was a "right". Did you see their teeth back then? Health insurance companies need to be incentivized to take on high risk individuals. Government taking over health care will lead to little invention, higher taxes, and worse care.
